(from Mr. Bob White's Facebook page, February 28th, 2018)

Bob Perry R.I.P. “The Voice of the Internationals” Mr Perry owned the Ed Parker school in Garden Grove, Ca. He hired me to start teaching in 1968 and helped me learn the tools to do this as a career ever since. Very grateful to him.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I earned my Blackbelt under Mr. Perry in 1976 at the Garden Grove, CA studio.
Although I did not do this as a career, Bob Perry significantly influenced my career. I am also very grateful to him.

  3. My step-mother may have some photos of Mr Perry. My dad and I trained under him in the 1980’s. Dave Gonzalez was in the studio a lot on those days as well

  4. My name is Tim. My dad, Dave Rosen, and I trained under Mr Perry in the 1980s. I am checking with my mom, as I believe my dad had photos of he and the Black Belts (including Mr Perry)

  5. My brother and I were 11 & 13 in 1976 and ended up as purple belts at United Karate Studio. Our dad passed away and we could no longer afford lessons. Mr. Perry allowed us to clean the studio in exchange for our lessons. We eventually moved away and could no longer continue. I still have my patch, my belts, a fake knife we used in techniques. (not sure how I ended up with that) and I have a couple of photos of Mr. Perry and Dave Gonzalez from that time.
