Is Jean-Claude Van Damme wearing a kenpo gi?
It's a little bit hard to make out what kanji is on the gi, but black and red gi's are mostly associated with kenpo.
Also interesting are the three stripes on the belt meaning it might be a fairly new martial art for the "Muscles from Brussels". It is well known his main art is Shotokan Karate, with some Tae Kwon Do mixed in.
So very interesting indeed.
Looks like he already knows how to do Leap of Death.
From what I can tell the kanji are in fact 拳法唐手. I did some quick digging and found this Facebook post from Portlaoise Kenpo Karate’s page were they say it is a Kenpo gi:
